As a key member of the Accounts Payable team, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced and knowledgeable professionals to improve the quality of the Accounts Payable function.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be required to provide efficient and effective support in the NZ-based Global Accounts Payable function to support and cover NZ-based accounts payable functions and general accounting support.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide efficient and effective Accounts Payable support with a high standard of customer service through relationship management
- Ensure invoices are processed promptly and effectively communicate with others and respond to all queries.
- Validate invoices, check for exceptions and adjust any amendments/credits.
- Ensure creditor Statement of Accounts are reconciled monthly
- Set up vendor accounts, capture required information in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Manager and Accountants.
- Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Promote and support a passionate customer-driven culture by ensuring a strong focus on delivery and execution to the wider internal and external customers
- Complete Ad-hoc duties and projects as requested.

If you are an experienced AP professional with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, along with a good understanding and working knowledge of SAP, we want to hear from you.

To be successful in this role, you will be equipped with:

- General accounting knowledge (preferred, but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external business customers and suppliers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of the role.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and meet agreed deadlines.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with an ability to take initiative and work autonomously without supervision.
- Willingness to be flexible and dedicated to meeting reporting deadlines.
