Production Planner

As a Production Planner at PPG you will be responsible for scheduling short and medium term production. You will achieve the required customer service level and inventory targets whilst supporting the efficiency and productivity of our Auckland manufacturing plant. This is a permanent, full time opportunity working from our Mount Wellington site. Typical working hours are 8am to 4pm however we can be flexible to a degree with the start and finish time.

**Key Responsibilities***:
- Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment in line with company policy and procedures
- Weekly production scheduling and alignment of the plan to Schedule Adherence measure
- Ensure optimum batch sizes are maintained according the company’s inventory stock turn target
- Work closely with production Team Leaders, Managers, Supply Chain and SBU managers to ensure common understanding on production schedule
**Qualifications / Experience**:
- Proven planning experience within a complex manufacturing environment
- A solid understanding of supply planning, manufacturing scheduling principles and capacity constraints
- Self-motivation along with demonstrated skills indicating a high degree of flexibility, managing a range of customers’ needs and proven track record to meet deadlines.
- ERP / MRP and SAP knowledge is highly regarded but not crucial
- Aptitude for systems and IT support solutions
