**About the Role**
- The appointee will be involved in teaching, continuing medical education and quality improvement. There is emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**
- The busy service provides over 3,000 endoscopy procedures per year and approximately 2,000 outpatient appointments. The team currently comprises three gastroenterologists, and a team of nurses lead by two registered nurses with extensive gastroenterology outpatient, and endoscopy experience. We have a very active and involved group of medical and surgical specialists here and a very collegial atmosphere exists.
- Ruakopito is our newly built start of the art facility, on the campus in Hastings that means all our patient-based gastroenterology services are housed in one place providing 2 procedure rooms, patient recovery, resource and administration areas, clinic spaces and meeting rooms.

**About you**
- An ability to perform ERCP and large EMR would be desirable
- A commitment to customer focus, service development and teamwork are essential
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
