Environmental Work

Rangitikei Environment Group has been funded to control environmental pests but now our operation has expanded as we work alongside another community organisation that is primarily focussed on pest control, water quality, catchment care and revegetation projects across Rangitikei, Turakina and Whangaehu Districts.

This role will work throughout the beautiful Rangitikei region.

The work will consist of on the ground weed control, revegetation projects, collection and storage of data, organising small environmental contracts, photography, report writing, administration, public relations activities, helping REG maintain their social media accounts.

Necessary attributes
- communication, writing skills, organising for results, computer literacy, initiative, self responsibility, excellent can do attitude, plant identification skills or an interest in attaining these would be useful.

We operate small teams

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who wants to advance their career with practical knowledge or someone wanting pre-tertiary study experience.

This is a 40 hour per week role

It is fixed for 6 months with potential to be extended.

We provide full training, PPE and transport.

A full drivers license is preferred and be fully vaccinated, and be non-drug and alcohol dependent
