Café Assistant/barista

Are you passionate about food, The Table Talk Café based in Gore is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Café Assitant/Barista to join our team.

Job responsibilities for Café Assistant/Barista will be as per below:

- Organize and oversee the cafe's operations to guarantee that it offers sufficient services.
- Recruiting, training, inspiring, and mentoring staff members while they perform customer service.
- Evaluate workers' performance and offer opportunities for training as well as constructive criticism.
- Creating an appealing menu in collaboration with the kitchen team and modifying it in response to specific requests and comments from patrons.
- Creating a daily roster so that employees may oversee the number of workers in the café each day.
- As needed, open or close the cafe.
- Handling special events and catering demands, and correspondingly liaising with the culinary staff.
- Overseeing the front of house and kitchen crew to provide a positive client experience and efficient business operations.
- Handling issues and grievances from customers and staff to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Keeping an eye on the cafe's operations and making sure the stock is always fully stocked.
- Monitor daily earnings and expenses. Participates in planning strategies with management to meet profit and corporate goals.
- Verify that staff members follow the rules and guidelines of the organization.
- Verify that the café complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Keep your inventory well-stocked and place food orders when necessary. Oversee the same's financial dealings.
- Make sure food is stored at a safe temperature and is fresh.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and will be paid between $28 to $32 per hour.

Pay: $23.15 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
