Catering Assistant

16 hours per week (Sunday and Monday 6am - 2.30pm)

We have an opportunity for an energetic individual with a friendly can-do attitude to join our kitchen team based at Terrace View Retirement Village in Ashburton. Come and help us deliver the best food service in the industry
- support our talented chefs with food preparation and baking.
- assist with service, keep the kitchen clean, and do dishes.
- be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- be an exceptional team player who is committed and flexible.
- be resilient and able to work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.
- be confident to work unsupervised as part of the shift will be working sole charge to organize the breakfast, before the chef arrives.

Flexibility to work additional hours across a seven day roster when required to cover leave would be an advantage.

Previous kitchen experience is not required as training will be provided to someone who possesses the right attitude and motivation.
