**The Opportunity?| Te kowhiringa**
In the role of Marine Works Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in achieving project targets, being the eyes and ears on-site, and being responsible for making the work happen.
The primary function of this role will be the management and supervision of the crews carrying out construction works. You will be expected to be involved in planning, organising, and controlling the operations to ensure that work is completed to the satisfaction of the client.
With an eye for detail and drive to ensure top-quality work is delivered safely in a tight timeframe. You will have strong working relationships with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Site Engineers, Forepersons and Subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of this high-profile project.

Given the size of the project, this will be an incredible opportunity to hone and develop your leadership skills. To be able to make the most of this challenge you will be an experienced civil supervisor and will bring the following skills to the role:
- Demonstrated excellence in motivating site staff in safe, high quality and productive project delivery.
- Able to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to teams.
- Provides solutions to assist with a “continual improvement” philosophy.
- The ability to drive projects, manage relationships and activity to achieve targets (deadlines, costing, resourcing etc.)
- Demonstrated high level of machine operation skills and knowledge
- The flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside your home base will be required from time to time.
