Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

The Head of Online will hold ultimate responsibility for Samsung Electronics New Zealand’s Online sales and marketing strategy and execution; audience engagement; business intelligence, and will play a critical role in the achievement of Samsung revenue success.

The primary function is to develop, direct and control the organisation’s Online sales/marketing and business strategies and activities to achieve revenue, sales and profit targets.

Corporate Marketing Responsibilities
- Management and development of the website, improving SEO, functionality. Partner with Marketing Communication Heads to utilise social media initiatives and increase consumer engagement and brand consideration.
- Partner with all external agency relationships regarding Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and agency contract negotiations (e.g Starcomm, Colenso etc).
- Leading a knowledge management program for the business, undertaking market research projects and initiatives to develop insights into market and consumer trends and increasing marketing effectiveness.

Online Management Responsibilities
- Ensure that web content is developed according to business strategic objectives.
- Work closely with all divisions in order to effectively plan and support web content related to their goals and objectives.
- Work with Marcom. Managers to develop and maintain information on the web sites and publish web content on a timely manner.
- Lead the planning and implementation of web content for web sites and campaign micro-sites.
- Ensure that the web content and web site are designed and deployed in a manner that is user
- friendly and search engine friendly.
- Develop and implement the editorial calendar for the website including the eCommerce section.
- Work with product divisions to identify, index, and make available knowledge resources.
- Manage APAC technical hosting process for all digital campaigns, including file deployment, database setup, security vulnerability checking, QA usability and testing, live implementation.
- Ensure Google Analytics tagging is implemented for all web sites and online communications including SEM, and rich media banner advertising to track and report on all site metrics.
- Monitoring & reporting to senior managers on the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
- Liaise with Social Media Manager to ensure integrated campaigns
- Manage third-party software vendors
- Assist Marcomms Managers with management of their AdWords campaign.

Design & Development (graphics and web page)
- Oversea the design and development of all website(s) content meet brand guidelines and a consistent look and feel is maintained.
- Manage the production of graphics and campaign micro-sites that are consistent with web design standards and guidelines.

Administration / Project Management
- Management, execution and delivery of online projects for key strategic initiatives.
- Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors.
- Coordinate web projects across departments.
- Enforcing Internet web site security policy to all online activities including web sites and online communications.
- Monitors web site performance and makes necessary adjustments to insure maximum availability and performance including web site capacity planning.
- Perform technology needs assessments, evaluates new technology and determine if it could be beneficial to the web sites.
- Manage project and enforce project development deadlines and schedules.

E-Commerce
- Manage and develop a Team of two direct reports.
- Provide Product Management and Sales Management Strategy and guidance to the Team.
- Obtain a clear understanding of business objectives, activities, risks and priorities relating to e-commerce and communicate this understanding to the team.
- Manage local and global partners to implement best in class e-commerce business and highest customer brand experience during every step of transaction.
- Supervise the team to execute and manage every part of shop platform including product to web, content & campaigns, conversion optimisation, order fulfilment, customer service, fraud mitigation and security.
- Enhance SENZ’s websites capabilities and manage platform updates including Payment Gateway enhancements to drive transactions online.
- Management of key e-commerce agency partners relationships including digital vendors, suppliers, stakeholders and ensure achievement of e-commerce KPIS.
- Manage E-Commerce Budget and create Performance Marketing Plans, oversee execution of plan with ongoing optimisation and advise the Team on actions to be taken.
- Create Demand Generation strategy, including Pure Player and Affiliate activities. Guide the Team on approaching and evaluating potential partners.
- Manage Online Shop sales plan and report sales performance to MD, Regional and Global Head Office, as well as Sales Directors.
- Oversee Project Management and project work of the team members
