About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Building Compliance Inspector/Technician to join our team in Christchurch. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and all relevant building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial and residential buildings to assess compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Conduct Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Service work, keeping buildings and our communities safe.
  • Identify any areas of non-compliance and provide detailed reports outlining required remediation works.
  • Liaise with building owners, property managers, and contractors to ensure necessary corrective actions are taken.

What You'll Need

  • Extensive experience (3+ years) as a qualified Building Compliance Inspector or similar role.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and emergency lighting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
