Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at Dunedin Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anaesthesia services for a mix of general lists covering a broad range of specialist services.

The hospital is well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and supported by a team of trained technicians and PACU staff. As a Specialist Anaesthetist, you will also be expected to provide after-hours cover during the week and participate in a 1:8 weekend call roster.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have the ability to build effective relationships within and external to their team. Enthusiasm for teaching and passing on knowledge to junior members of staff is also desirable.

Applicants must hold FANZCA or an equivalent qualification allowing for vocational registration with the NZ Medical Council.
