About the Role:
">Waikatodhbnewsroom is seeking to appoint a skilled Registrar to its Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service. The maternity arm of our hospital comprises a 6-bed delivery suite with 4 adjoining antenatal beds, 14 post-natal beds, and a 6-cot Neonatal Unit accepting premature infants from 28 weeks gestation. Our team consists of experienced healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients.
">Clinical Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Responsible to their Consultant for the day-to-day clinical management of the team's patients;">
- After hours, responsible to the on-call Consultant for all the patients in the secondary obstetric and gynaecology service;">
- Required to attend to any medical emergency when on call;">
- Required to attend Consultant ward rounds when performed within ordinary hours;">
- Attendance at outpatient clinics as required by the Consultant;">
- Scheduling and participating in theatre sessions as required by the Consultant or diploma requirements;">
About the Team/Service:
">Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology team includes 6 Specialists, 1 Medical Officer Support Staff, 4 Registrars, and 4 House Senior Officers. We offer a supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development.
">About You:
">You will be registered or eligible for general or provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You are PGY3 or more and have completed at least 6 months in an O&G run at House Officer level or greater.
