The Government of New Zealand public sector spends over $50 billion each year on goods and services from suppliers to support its activities, including infrastructure, social and other public services, and routine and specialized goods and services.

As the General Manager of New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP), you will lead the NZGP Branch, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Regional Development & Commercial Services (RDCS).

You will be responsible for providing cross-government leadership and capability to achieve effective and efficient results from Government's procurement activities.

  • Deliver the All-of-Government procurement program.
  • Provide policy advice on Government Procurement.
  • Maintain technical capabilities to respond to emerging procurement and all-of-government contract opportunities.

This role focuses on building and enhancing the overall capability of the Government Procurement Branch to ensure quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to Government priorities and procurement activities.
