Our Client
Our client is a respected public service organization seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and compliant financial reporting, leading the preparation of financial statements, and managing the external audit process.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation of financial statements for our annual report and manage the external audit process.
• Oversee monthly, annual, and other financial reporting both internally and externally.
• Provide technical accounting advice and mentoring to finance staff.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Collaborate on the coordination and completion of external budget updates and Treasury returns.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in financial accounting within large or complex organizations. They will possess strong knowledge of the Public Finance Act, government budget processes, and public sector accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
