About the Role
Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated professional to lead and manage the Higher Education Provision across SLPPS. This role involves administrative responsibilities to ensure effective department management.
The successful candidate will drive Higher Education recruitment in line with Newcastle College University Centre KPIs while supporting programme teams to achieve their goals.
A key focus will be on leading and managing teams to achieve high-quality Higher Education provision.
Required skills and qualifications include a strong vocational background in sport, proven experience in team leadership, and a post-16 teaching qualification or commitment to achieving it within an agreed timeframe.
Level 2 English and maths qualifications are essential, or the candidate must be willing to attain them.
A proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve KPIs with an emphasis on high-quality Higher Education provision is desirable.
Candidates should have proven success in designing and implementing teaching strategies that support Higher Education students, including those with additional needs or barriers to learning.
Strong organisational skills, the ability to self-manage workload, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
