  • We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our South Community Mental Health Team at Wakari Hospital.
  • In this role, you will provide care, support, and treatment for people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.
  • You will work autonomously but be well embedded in a team of dedicated mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering focused nursing treatment and provision of effective case management to a specific patient caseload.
  • The possibility of crisis work, with the support of the team.

Requirements:

  • New Zealand Registration with a scope of practice that allows you to work in mental health and APC with Nursing Council New Zealand.
  • Previous experience working with people with serious mental illness, ideally in a community setting.
  • A strong sense of 'self' and a demonstrated commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure.
  • A current full driver's license.
