About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Educational Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient psychological services for the benefit of children and young people with additional learning needs in accordance with the Ministry of Education's goals, objectives, and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply a strengths-based approach to support inclusive practices in early learning services, schools, and other educational settings.
  • Collaborate with learners, families, and educators to enhance progress towards learner goals.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to schools, teachers, and parents/caregivers/whanau to develop and implement intervention plans.
  • Assess, analyse, and hypothesise patterns influencing learning, wellbeing, and behaviour, and support the implementation of individual or group intervention plans.

Requirements

  • Mastery of complex organisations and experience building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Proven experience counselling, negotiating, mediating, and contracting, as well as using data and insights to influence organisational decision-making.
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology or equivalent, and registration under the Health Practitioner's Competency Assurance Act.
  • A commitment to adhering to Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
