Medical Cardiologist Specialist

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Senior Medical Officer to cover sabbaticals within the Cardiology Department. This 12-month fixed term part-time position will provide consultant services and leadership for the cardiac medical team.
The ideal candidate will have strong general cardiology skills, with experience in device therapy, imaging, adult congenital heart disease, interventional procedures, or heart failure. They will work cooperatively with other medical, nursing, and technical staff, and be accountable for key performance indicators. The successful applicant will also contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines for specific areas of work.
This role requires vocational registration in internal medicine (Cardiology) with the Medical Council of New Zealand, as well as FRACP or equivalent qualification. The ability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, provide consistently high standards of medical care, and possess relevant experience and training are essential.
