About the Job

As a Government Policy Manager Te Reo Maori, you will play a key role in developing and implementing policies that promote and preserve the Maori language. You will work closely with stakeholders, including iwi and hapu, to understand their needs and priorities and develop policies that meet those needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about promoting and preserving the Maori language. If you have a strong understanding of Maori culture and history, as well as experience in policy development and analysis, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies that promote and preserve the Maori language
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including iwi and hapu, to understand their needs and priorities
  • Conduct research and analysis on Maori language policy trends and developments
  • Collaborate with other government agencies to develop and implement policies that support the Maori language
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Maori culture and history
  • Experience in policy development and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
