Waikato Hospital provides a wide range of services, including radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and outpatient clinics. Our hospital has 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated procedure centre, making us a major regional hospital in the southern hemisphere. We pride ourselves on having a collaborative and supportive work environment, where staff can grow professionally and personally.

As a midwife with our team, you will have access to ongoing education and training opportunities, including midwifery-led triage, acute assessment skills, induction of labour, caesarean section theatre, neonatal resuscitation and life support, and high dependency obstetric care. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in breastfeeding support, long-acting reversible contraception, and perinatal bereavement care.
