About the Role

You'll be part of our team at the forefront of ASB's re-imagine stream on Azure. As a Cloud Engineer, you'll work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing your skills and expertise to improve customer outcomes continuously. You'll bring significant public cloud systems engineering and support experience, as well as solid IT infrastructure knowledge.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud environments
  • Create and maintain infrastructure as code
  • Work closely with service delivery managers to keep customers informed of both proactive and responsive work undertaken
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the cloud team's technical capabilities, standards, and practice

About You

We'll value your proven initiative, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical, architectural, and design aspects
  • Experience with private cloud frameworks
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, management, identity (workload identity), networking (Azure CNI), Azure policy, AKS monitoring, release management, and workflow automation
  • Extensive experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Flow, and Actions, self-hosted runners, secret management, and DevOps architecture
  • Significant experience in constructing AKS infrastructure and deploying, managing containers using Azure Kubernetes (especially AKS) and related services through CI/CD with Bicep
  • Expertise in security protocols
  • Previous experience in automation processes and orchestration tools
