We are a 58-bed acute inpatient mental health unit at Auckland City Hospital, providing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving health outcomes.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy assistant to join our small dedicated team of therapists. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your professional skills in assessment, goal setting, and collaborative planning.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with occupational therapistsDeliver individual and group interventions to support clients' recoveryWork with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of mental health concepts and principles
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices
