About This Role

This full-time position combines two essential roles: Placement Coordinator for Social Work (0.5 FTE) and Kaiako for the Bachelor of Bicultural Social Work programme (0.5 FTE). As the Placement Coordinator, you will manage fieldwork placements, ensuring students are matched with suitable agencies and supervised throughout their practicum. You will build relationships with stakeholders, support students from enrolment to graduation, and contribute to practicum teaching where needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the social work sector, with both practical experience and a commitment to education. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Degree in Social Work
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related subject and demonstrate either holding or showing equivalence for NZQA standards assessed in this programme
  • Fully registered with the Social Work Registration Board and hold a Practising Certificate
  • A New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a related role
