About the Team/Service:
The radiology team is dedicated to providing supportive care to our community and each other. We work together to make a positive impact every day, delivering an after-hours on-call service for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and General X-Ray as required.
About the Role:
This position exists to provide medical imaging services for Hauora Tairawhiti. You will be responsible for operating X-Ray equipment, including digital machines, and possessing good knowledge of cross-sectional imaging. A high level of time management and personal work organisation skills are essential for this role. Additionally, competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth is desired.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Medical Radiation Technologist
- Registered with NZMRTB
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Experience in operating X-Ray equipment including digital machines
- Sound Oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of cross-sectional imaging
- A high level of time management and personal work organisation skills
- CT Knowledge would be an advantage
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
