About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Specialist Medical Officer (SMO) to join our Plastic Surgery team at Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand. As a Plastic Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing a complete range of secondary and tertiary services for paediatric and adult patients. Our team provides care for patients from the Canterbury and West Coast regions, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing surgical services for patients requiring plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care for patients
  • Participating in the education and training of junior staff and medical students
