Job Description

We are seeking a Behaviour Specialist to deliver quality services based on a positive behaviour support framework. The successful candidate will work with clients of all ages, their families, and support networks to develop and implement personalized behaviour support plans. As part of Mental Health and Wellbeing, Explore Specialist Services is the national provider for behaviour support in New Zealand.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or at least 3 years' experience in the disability field
  • Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Workers, Behaviour Therapists/Specialists (BCBA's), Teachers, Experience in the field of disability and/or behaviour support
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) where this is required
  • An understanding of and commitment to: The Code of Health and Disabilities Services Consumer Rights, The Treaty of Waitangi and bi-cultural practice
