We provide mechanical computer-aided design services to our entire portfolio of radar products. Our rich radar heritage and vast experience enable us to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the demands of extreme environments.

In this role, you will work in a senior designer position with proven experience using 2D and 3D CAD software to create designs for various products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking the lead on conceptual information or component lists and developing detailed designs and data packs suitable for manufacture.
  • Managing the engineering/manufacturing interface through relevant manufacturing processes.
  • Overseeing production/assembly practices associated with equipment manufacture, identifying long-lead piece parts and liaising with suppliers as needed.
  • Managing Engineering Change for your area of responsibility against a robust change management process.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a senior designer role.
  • Expertise in 2D and 3D CAD design tools, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Experience designing to meet environmental requirements (EMC, Shock, and Vibration).
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture and design for maintainability principles.
  • A good understanding of BS8888 Engineering Drawing standards.
  • An understanding of electrical drawing practices and circuit diagram creation under guidance from electrical engineers.
  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
