About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Anaesthetist to join our team at Health NZ Nelson Marlborough, based in one of New Zealand's most stunning regions.

Job Description
  • As a Senior Anaesthetist, you will work in a secondary care setting, participating in the anaesthetic roster and covering planned care, acute theatre sessions, and on-call support.
  • You will also be involved in pre-assessment clinics and working as the duty anaesthetist.
  • The role involves providing support to other departments, including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, dental, mental health, and emergency services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be:

  • Vocationally registered with the NZ Medical Council
  • A Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate fellowship training is desirable
