Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead our team at Sumner Post Office. As the driving force behind the success of this venue, you will oversee all aspects of operations, from hands-on restaurant management to implementing systems and processes. Your leadership will be critical in creating an inviting and memorable environment for staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of operations on the ground, including hands-on restaurant management and training
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure efficient and excellent service
  • Lead and manage a diverse and talented team to achieve exceptional results
  • Develop and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Innovate and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive business growth
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Promote our personally brewed beers as well as other local offerings and create a welcoming atmosphere for locals
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or a strong Restaurant Manager in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of hospitality management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for live music, upmarket dining, and local craft beers
