Job Overview
The Health Care Assistant position contributes to the successful operation of the nursing team at Wellington's Te Wao Nui Children's Hospital. This role supports Registered Nurses (RNs) in meeting patient needs by assisting with clinical and non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities
The Health Care Assistant will assist RNs on the children's ward by:

  • Providing support for clinical and non-clinical tasks
  • Releasing RN time to provide clinical patient care

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise
