Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Tangaroa Activity Coordinator and Therapist.

In this role, you will work closely with the OT team to develop and deliver therapeutic occupation programs that promote recovery and well-being for individuals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily activities at the Tangaroa Activity Centre, including planning, designing, facilitating and evaluating groups, ordering resources, and liaising with sessional workers and other agencies.
  • Developing programs in consultation with the team leader and OT expert, focusing on enhancing motivation and socialisation, and promoting opportunities for observation and risk sharing.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve desired outcomes for tangata whaiora.
