As a Senior Customs Officer Grade One, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission by providing coaching, mentoring and contributing to the development of our people. You will have a commitment to continually developing yourself and others, living our values and role modelling Customs' leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Process passengers/crew and goods in/out of Aotearoa, including search activity
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel, collect import and export duties
- Intercept contraband (such as drugs and weapons), investigate and prosecute offences through sea and land patrol, surveillance and search activity
- Conduct and lead operational activity within the Port and Maritime environments
