**Key Responsibilities**

  • Handle reception duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient queries.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the department, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

**Requirements**

  • Prior experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and willing to work shift cover over a 24-hour period.

**Skills and Qualifications**

  • Previous receptionist experience.
  • Customer-focused with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proven knowledge of all Windows-based applications.
  • Proven keyboard skills ensuring speed and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge of the Privacy Act and the Health Information Privacy Code.
  • An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural awareness.
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise appropriately.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
