About the Role

We seek an experienced Principal Development Engineer to join our Neutron team and contribute to the design, development, and test of our new large rocket. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with structural analysts, designers, manufacturing engineers, and the prototyping team to develop and execute the design and certification strategy for mechanical structures and mechanisms across the Neutron launch vehicle.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer with experience in metallic materials and process development to take on a leadership role in shaping the future of space exploration. You will be responsible for defining and documenting material architectural decisions, designing and coordinating testing to generate material property databases, initiating and managing projects, and actively contributing to technical decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years' industry experience in the design, development, and test of material systems in a relevant technical field (e.g., Aviation, Aerospace, Automotive, Marine)
  • Demonstrated experience with metallic materials and process development and qualification
  • Demonstrated experience with composites and related materials (prepregs, fibers, resins, cores, adhesives, coatings, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in Carbon Fibre Manufacturing processes, including Hand-lamination, Out-Of-Autoclave OOA material systems, Bonding operations, etc.
What We Offer
