The Office of the Auditor-General is seeking a Senior Advisor to join its team in Auckland. As a key member of the strategy and performance group, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the Office and making a meaningful difference in the public sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality analysis, insights, and advice to support the development of the Auditor-General's strategic intentions. This includes leading the implementation of strategy through the Annual Plan and driving wider initiatives such as refreshing the performance framework, improving the Office's performance through monitoring and insights, strengthening governance, and contributing to strategic projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong strategic thinking ability and proven experience in developing Strategic Intentions/Statements of intent documents that articulate medium-term strategy. You will also have a sound understanding of the system of government and public management in New Zealand, as well as an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te ao Maori.
