Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solicitor to join our dynamic Banking team in Auckland. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transactions, including leveraged finance, structured finance, acquisition finance, mezzanine finance, project and construction finance, syndicated lending, and debt restructuring.

Our clients are diverse and include domestic and overseas clients across various sectors. We value individuals who bring a fresh perspective, are commercially minded, and client-focused.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-7 years' PQE in general banking and finance law
  • Experience in leveraged finance is desired but not essential
  • Experience gained from private practice or in-house, with at least some of that experience gained in New Zealand
  • Capability to draft and lead negotiations on core documentation
  • An interest in mentoring junior lawyers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience managing banking transactions according to deadlines
