Clinical Trials Pharmacist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Trials Pharmacist to join our team in the dynamic clinical trials space.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of clinical trials, including dispensing, liaising with our compounding unit, and communication with clinical trial coordinators and trial monitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day running of clinical trials, including dispensing, liaising with our compounding unit, and communication with clinical trial coordinators and trial monitors
  • Involvement with the set-up of clinical trials, including investigator-led studies
  • Coordinate medicines access programmes such as compassionate supply
  • Be involved with quality improvement initiatives for the pharmacy clinical trials team
  • Support pharmacy audits and projects
  • Participate in the inpatient dispensary roster as required and occasional involvement in weekend rosters

About the Team/Service:

Our pharmacy service provides essential support to Waikato and rural hospitals, as well as tertiary and advisory support to Te Manawa Taki region. We offer a range of services, including pharmaceutical supply, medicines safety, clinical services, outpatient pharmacy, clinical trials, and a compounding suite.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist with at least 5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy or relevant other pharmacy experience. Familiarity with trial processes is desirable. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as an integral team member are essential.
