About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our team in Hawke's Bay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal expertise to our clients, with a focus on general commercial law, property law, trust law, and estate planning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our directors and colleagues to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters, including general commercial law, property law, trust law, and estate planning.
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other relevant papers.
  • Conducting research and analysis to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solicitor, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines.
  • A valid NZ practicing certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
