Job Description:
The Senior Advisor Culture and Capability (Learning and Development) plays a pivotal role in shaping Maritime New Zealand's learning and development programmes. As a key member of the Culture and Capability team, you will be responsible for managing the current learning & development suite, designing, developing, and implementing core learning initiatives, and providing expertise in learning needs analysis, instructional design, evaluation, LMS oversight, and facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- •Manage the current learning & development suite, including cyclical learning events and learning and development products
- •Take the lead in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of core learning initiatives, programmes, and projects aligned to the capability strategy supporting the regulatory approach
- •Provide learning and development expertise across domains including learning needs analysis, instructional design, evaluation, LMS oversight, and facilitation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking an adaptable, collaborative L&D practitioner with experience in the capability development field. Ideal candidates will have:
- •Proven experience in the full end-to-end L&D process delivering pragmatic L&D solutions
- •Strong understanding of learning theory, models, and contemporary practices
- •Excellent project management skills with experience taking the lead in projects and programmes of work involving multiple objectives and diverse stakeholders
- •Good working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and what it means to be an effective Treaty partner, as well as cultural capability required to work effectively with Maori
- •Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- •Technical savvy, with experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and using online authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise)
