Job Description - Cardiology Advanced Trainee Registrar

You will be working as part of a busy but supportive team, offering a unique opportunity to pursue a career in Cardiology. The cardiology department at Waikato Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with representation from all cardiac subspecialties. You will have exposure to general and subspecialty cardiac diagnostics, interventions, and management for a wide range of cardiac pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Exposed to 6,000 patients a year and perform 3,000 to 4,000 angiograms, 1,000 angioplasties, and over 400 electrophysiological procedures annually.
  2. Closely work with on-site cardiothoracic surgeons and offer outreach services to regional peripheral hospitals.
  3. Offer exposure to a wide range of cardiac pathologies and contribute to the development of our service.
