About the Role

The Housekeeper role at Healthcare Services Group Inc. is a vital part of maintaining a clean and safe environment in our long-term care facilities.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.

You will ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of all areas following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Maintaining records of cleaning activities and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor are also key responsibilities.

You will follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.

Interacting positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service, is essential in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Able to work around cleaning products.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
