Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand Pophouse Entertainment Group Full time

About us

Pophouse Entertainment is a rapidly scaling entertainment company with exceptional standards and ambitions. We create, acquire, and develop entertainment brands that enable bold ideas through all the brands, venues, and tools that we own and operate. Our mission is to unlock the power of entertainment and bridge analogue and digital worlds, bringing entertainment and interactive experiences ever closer together.

We are co-owned by ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus, starting with our creative work with ABBA's back catalogue. We have acquired and are developing concepts with the catalogues of Mamma Mia the Party, ABBA Voyage, Avicii, Kiss, Cyndi Lauper, and Swedish House Mafia. We are in the process of acquiring rights for numerous other iconic artists, allowing further creative development.

What we need

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Senior Finance Business Manager to play a key role in our international growth. Working closely with the MD of Mamma Mia The Party and the senior leadership team, you will ensure financial excellence across multiple international projects. From building complex business models to shaping commercial strategies, you'll provide the financial insights and operational support needed to drive informed decision-making and successful market expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic planning: Partner with the senior leadership team (based in Stockholm) to model international expansion scenarios, negotiate partnership terms, and evaluate joint venture opportunities. Develop and present commercial strategies to key stakeholders, including the MD, CFO, and CEO.
  • Financial planning & analysis (FP&A): Design and implement financial models to track and improve performance across all Mamma Mia the Party locations. Lead forecasting processes, provide actionable insights, and deliver comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational excellence: Ensure consistent reporting standards across international sites. Collaborate with ticketing and marketing teams to optimize revenue strategies and provide real-time financial guidance to enhance decision-making.
  • Project & business partnering: Act as a strategic partner across departments, delivering financial analysis to support sales, marketing, and operational decisions. Engage with external promoters and producers to uphold quality and financial oversight.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a commercially driven finance or business intelligence role.
  • Proven ability to build complex financial models and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a collaborative mindset.
  • Familiarity with various business models (licensing, ticketing, and sales) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to ensure financial oversight and operational standards.

Why us?

We value creativity, collaboration, and pushing boundaries. If you are excited to drive financial strategy and be at the heart of our international growth, we want to hear from you.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce. We enthusiastically welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Ready to make an impact? Apply now and be part of something extraordinary.
