**Job Overview**

We are looking for a qualified Grounds Instructor to join our team at Spring Hill Corrections Facility. As a Grounds Instructor, you will play a key role in helping individuals discover a new career path, talent or passion in the landscaping and horticulture industry.

**Responsibilities**

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing prisoners with an employment pathway
  • Assisting prisoners to gain the work habits, experience and skills sought by industry employers
  • Having custodial responsibilities, industry-based responsibilities and training responsibilities

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience, knowledge and qualifications in the landscaping and horticulture industry
  • Experience with plant and equipment, including preventative maintenance
  • A full NZ Driver Licence and First Aid Certificate (before job commencement)
  • The ability to assist in all the various prison industries as required
  • Proactive, energetic team leadership skills and the ability to inspire others to perform at their best

**Salary Range**

The entry level salary for this role is $70,014 - $78,376. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
