About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Alexander James. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based data and analytics solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will develop secure, scalable data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms aligned with industry standards and client needs.
  • You will create logical and physical models to meet evolving business requirements with high-performance, scalable designs.
  • You will review existing architectures and recommend improvements in tech stack, data governance, security, and best practices.
  • You will lead the design and implementation of secure, compliant cloud-based data platforms.

Requirements:

  • You should have proven Data Engineering experience with a focus on cloud platforms.
  • You should have strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL.
  • You should have practical experience with cloud tools like Snowflake; familiarity with machine learning and AI integration.
  • You should have understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance in cloud environments.
  • You should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
