Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within the Financial Accounting and Control team. As the Technical Accounting Lead, you will ensure Te Rūnanga meets statutory reporting requirements, complies with tax legislation, and upholds the integrity of financial information.

  • You will provide expert advice on accounting standards, lead technical financial projects, and mentor junior accountants.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 7 years' experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, tax legislation, and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 audit firm or a similar complex accounting environment is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Business Central).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and influence decision-making.
  • Experience in a Te Ao Māori work environment is an advantage.
