Job Overview">

We are seeking a highly experienced Ground Systems Engineering Team Lead to join our team in New Zealand or the United States. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the design, build, testing, and commissioning of advanced launch and test facilities. You will also support Electron operations and collaborate with the GSE Manager to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities">

Your primary responsibilities as a Ground Systems Engineering Team Lead will include:

  • Leading the design, build, testing, and commissioning of advanced launch and test facilities.">
  • Supporting Electron operations and collaborating with the GSE Manager to meet project deadlines.">
  • Developing and executing test plans for launch pad and vehicle interface systems.">
  • Collaborating with ops teams to ensure system functionality.">
  • Designing and maintaining test equipment and lifecycle management plans.">
  • Analyzing data post-flight and post-test and maintaining interface control documentation.">
  • Attending and contributing to meetings and readiness reviews as a subject matter expert.">
  • Managing projects and tasks for up to 8 team members.">
  • Mentoring junior staff and overseeing their professional development and performance.">
Requirements">

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, science, or a related field.">
  • Over 6 years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline.">
  • Exposure to engineering management, team leadership, or project management.">
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.">

The following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with launch pad systems or industry experience in oil and gas, processing, mining, or similar fields.">
  • Familiarity with applying standards such as NASA, ASME, ASTM, IEC, or AS/NZS.">
