**Job Details**

We are seeking a Clinical or Child and Family Psychologist to join our Youth Forensic Team part-time on a fixed-term contract until mid-November 2025. The successful candidate will work exclusively with adolescents under the Youth Justice system, providing mental health interventions to break the cycle of disadvantage.

You will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments, formulating and delivering intervention plans, and presenting assessments to other groups. We are seeking someone with a strong passion for working with young people and a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.

**Responsibilities and Requirements**

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments using clinical interviewing, diagnostic, behavioural, and psychometric assessment
  • Formulating and delivering appropriate intervention plans, youth court liaison, and case management work
  • Presentation of assessments and materials to other groups
  • Providing written reports for the Youth Court
  • Liaison with Youth Justice Agencies, NGOs, and Regional services

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • NZ registration as a Clinical or Child and Family Psychologist
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Clinical or Child and Family scope of practice
  • Excellent assessment skills and a sound knowledge of available treatment options
  • Strong focus on relationship-building
