About this role:
Te Wananga O Aotearoa seeks a skilled Home-Based Programme Facilitator to join our team. This role plays a key part in delivering our Home-Based Learning Programmes, supporting tauira to achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities:
• Conduct whanaungatanga visits to establish connections with new cohorts of tauira.
• Coordinate enrolment processes and maintain accurate records of programme inductions and related details.
• Utilise best practice assessment techniques to communicate results to tauira and inform tailored support strategies.
• Develop and review individualised plans to meet the unique needs of tauira, ensuring their progress is tracked and reported regularly.

Your background:
We are looking for an experienced professional with the following skills and qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of assessment principles and practices, including NZQA/unit Standards 4098 – Uses standards to access candidate performance Level 4 or New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4.
• A certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE) and/or other relevant qualifications such as Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4 and Certificate in Tikanga Maori Level 3 or Te Reo Maori Level 1 or higher.
• A full clean New Zealand driver's license.
• Previous experience in education, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, or learning support.
• An appreciation for kaupapa Maori and a willingness to engage in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori values, culture, and tikanga.
