About the Role

As a Self Storage Center Manager, you will be responsible for leading a number of our New Zealand Centres and driving their financial and operational performance.

This is a full-time permanent role that requires strong leadership and people management skills. You will lead and manage human, physical, and financial resources to ensure effective operations and compliance with company policy and procedure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and motivating Centre teams to achieve optimal sales objectives, customer service levels, and business objectives
  2. Overall responsibility for achieving financial budgets and profitability of all Centres in your operational area
  3. Ensuring Centres are achieving across financial performance metrics, including sales and KPI targets
  4. Providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to continually develop Centre teams
  5. Overseeing and ensuring effective resourcing and recruitment of all Centre teams
  6. Providing accurate and timely reporting to Management on Centre activities and performance
  7. Ensuring all Centres are compliant with Work Health & Safety regulations and requirements
Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Ensure a safe, happy working environment for Centre teams
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve Centre performance and productivity
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve Centre performance
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills and a strong understanding of how to build and maintain a great team culture
  • Minimum 3-4 years' demonstrated success in an Operational/Area Management role in a medium-large organisation or similar
  • Previous experience in the recruitment and development of sales people
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members, with a sound understanding of best practice performance management
  • The ability to build trusting and authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation
  • High level of organisational skills with the ability to self-manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyse complex financials and develop effective reports
  • Ability to think analytically and develop effective strategies
  • Good knowledge of Work Health & Safety regulations
