Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to provide financial accounting and taxation services to our New Zealand Operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy, membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent, and full and current driver's license.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial accounting requirements for Macraes & Waihi operations, including preparation of statutory financial consolidation package for submission to Head Office.
  • Ensure tax compliance requirements, including tax provisioning calculations are accurate, liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Work closely with auditors, ensuring all queries are dealt with or escalated accordingly.
  • Calculate crown royalty calculations and manage returns where applicable for gold shipments.
  • Maintain databases and models pertaining to financial reporting, including asset registers and General Ledger.
