About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our team at Te Puni Kokiri - Ministry of Maori Development. As a key member of our Governance Puni, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the Deputy Secretary Governance and other senior leaders.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of te ao Maori and a degree of fluency in te reo Maori. They will also possess excellent comprehension and verbal communications skills, with the ability to manage complex and multiple relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating information and issues on behalf of the Deputy Secretary Governance
  • Providing practical management of strategic planning, budgetary, and financial management processes
  • Offering secretarial and administrative support to the Puni and Deputy Secretary, including drafting and reviewing memoranda, correspondence, travel arrangements, and calendar management
  • Providing future-focused advice on governance and management issues in the Puni
